  i was thinking the other night (my head is still hurtingcould you imagine having the power to stop it and choosing not to?

  i kept thinking, if i could die so that no other innocent person should have to suffer, then i would.

  You got it straight. I have always believed with great power comes great responsibility. Miserable imperfect man that I am, my sense of right nad wrong would not have allowed me to sit back and watch any one being harmed unjustly. It is nice to see some of you expressing the sman ritcheous indignation that I feel.

  I hate it when folks like Sword bring up the argument that God allwos wickedness to prove the Devil a liar and to vindicate his name. What a crock. Right is right, he should have bitch slapped Satan a long time ago and saved his children a lot of pain and suffering. If some fool dared me to allow my kids to venture down a road that I knew would cause them harm, that son of a bitch would have found himself in a world of hurt real quick.

  Sword I think you are suffering from a terminal case of Optical Rectalitus. Your head is so far up your butt your viewpoint is crap. Try to think in a logical manner and ignore for a moment what has been drilled into your head. You speak of free will, where is yours?

Once the biblical blinders are off, thet truth can be seen. If we all abided by the Love thy neighbor rule Jesus taught, none of this crap would be going on.People wouldn't hurt eachother, or at least they wouldn't stand idely by as abuses are commited.

  I have been toying with the idea of running for "God Emperor of the Universe". My platform is simple, right is right and do no harm. Its just that simple.

  You guys are great.

  Worldlygurl, I have been known to have the uncanny ability to state the obvious from time to time.

  Sentinel, I have checked all the dogs and cats 3 each both ends and no sign of the watch. I think I'll put them all in the same kennel till morning so I won't have to round them up in the morning. That is sure to go over well.

  XJW been there done that! Lost my pager in an attic once and took an hour to find in all the insulation.

  Angharad and Shakita, I found $2.31 in the couch cushions. What's your cut?

  JT, Thank you for your sympathy and diagnosis. I believe it is a conspiracy. Perpetrated by the inhabitants of the X-11 galaxy. They have been steeling socks for years. They only have one foot so they only steal one sock. I believe they are also responsible for the mayonaise thing. I checked the fridge twice tonight and we're clean out of the stuff.

  I will tend to finding my watch in the morning and will keep you all informed as I see that you will all probably pace the floors this evening wondering, "I wonder what Thunder and SheilaM are doing?" Well maybe not.

  Folks,

  Please forgive the following rantings. Several months ago I lost my watch. It is somewhere in the house. I know this because each morning as I drink my coffee and ready myself for work the damn alarm on the watch goes off.

  I find myself launching from my seat and scurrying about trynig to find out where the sound of the alarm in coming from. The beeping goes on for 20 seconds. 20 seconds though has proven to be an inadequate amount of time to find the damn thing.

  I have gotten to the point that I try to ignore the alarm and go on with whatever I happen to be doing. Today I was reading posts and listening to Sheila study for her psych test. She heard the alarm and wanted to know what it was. She has never heard it before because it goes off before she gets out of bed. She asked why I did not try to find the watch. I explained that I have been looking for the past several months every morning and that I had given up on the thing. I know that I will find it the day after the damn batteries go dead and the alarm no longer beckons me from my morning rituals. I know it will be in the last place I look.

  Would this drive you nuts? How many 20 second segments of your life would you waste looking for a $20.00 dollar watch? Have I lost all credibility? Did I ever have any?

  Chalk it up as one of Thunder's Blunders. Few but funny.

  Kingdom Hall Spankings

  most meetings i went to, children were brought to the washrooms in the back to be disciplined.

  often i could hear a child yell or cry due to the spanking given by the parent.

  people in the hall would have that look on their face meaning that it was alright to discipline a child by spanking him.

  Hell, we'd get taken to the parking lot and spanked sometimes.

  But most memorable was what I refer to as, "the after the meeting beating". Dad would line us from the oldest to youngest and spank us after each meeting. For talking, for fidgeting, name it. There were 8 kids then, I was second oldest. By the time he had spanked my older brother, myseld and then my brother Stephen, all the younger ones were in tears.

  Having the after the meeting beating to look forward to 3 times a week made going to the meetings something none of us wanted to do.

  i woke up this morning, looked over, and saw a white peice of paper laying next to me.

  emma drew me a picture, crept into my room, and laid it next to me while i slept.

  when she came in, she shouted "happy mother's day!

  in short, the kingdom hall i went to as child and teen, is being sold to a church.

  my mother (still active) informed me of this.

  now, the war is over, the weapons were not used and of course have not been found.. how threatening could they be if they did not even use them when being invaded by a massive force (of the countries they hate)?!

  perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.

  now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.

  I'm too lazy to read the whole thread, please forgive me if some one else has made this point.

  Could not the regeime of Sadam be considered a WOMD?

  Look how much damage he did to his own people and country. Do the means of inflicting the damage really matter?

  Besides, no matter what physical evidence is found, some one will argue it away and make it irrelivant.

  The people of Iraq are better off than they were. That is all that matters.

  I always hated school! English in paticular, I passed with a D+. Sheila has chosen to go back to school and seems to love it! That is too weird for me. I had to go to the college the other day to help her get her sculpture out of the mold, and I had a panic attack. As far as looking at the young girls, well I got Sheila to look at and she is a real piece of eye candy, let me tell you!
